Vegetarianism

Our optimal diet

Baked Spud

Baked Spud

Vegetarianism is the practice of following a plant-based diet of fruits, vegetables, etc., with the general exclusion of all meat and animal products.  Science tells us that animal products and refined foods undermine our health while a whole food vegetarian diet is ideal and will provide internl conditions for a long and healthy life.

On a more subtle or refined level,
eating an animal based diet makes us more aggressive,
it limits the growth of our intelligence or consciousness and
undermines our physical health.

A vegetarian diet is a lifestyle choice as much as a dietary choice.

Vegetables ideally need to be free of agricultural and environmental chemicals which is almost an impossibility unless you test your soil and grow your own veggies, or purchase from certified organic producers.

We need a wide range of leafy green vegetables, whole grains, pulses, legumes, nuts, seeds and fruits.  Achieving a good diet requires cooperation with other growers and traders.

Some exceptions included in the general vegetarian diet are the inclusion of dairy products or eggs – the produce of animals without taking the animals life and consuming it. However animal products have been proven to undermine health and shorten life.

I do not advocate that we should all become vegetarian overnight, rather we all must reduce our intake of animal products including fish for our continued survival.
